Project Configuration – The New Science of Project Engineering by Cedric G. Tyler

I am a big fan of the intuitively obvious. For example, in the business improvement or business requirements world it is an absolute truth that the poorer the business definition/understanding, the higher the risk of the initiative. And of course, the converse is also true. Namely, the better the business definition/understanding, the lower the initiative risk.

"True motivation comes from achievement, personal development, job satisfaction, and recognition."

Client Testimonials

PM.Ideas recently completed a CAPM® training programme for 10 ABSA graduates.

This programme prepares learners to take the PMI® CAPM® exam, and become a Certified Associate in Project Management. Valid for 5 years, this certification allows learners to become more involved in the Project Management industry and build up their experience in projects.

Some of the benefits of this programme include learning how to scope a project, adhere to budget parameters, stay on schedule and meet or exceed the project’s overall objectives. Francois Marais, Absa Group Technology Graduate Manager, says, ‘The CAPM® preparation programme from PM.Ideas was invaluable in introducing my graduates to the fascinating world of Project Management. With this foundation, they are able to start their careers as Project Administrators and grow individually their careers to become Project Managers in the near future.’
"I enjoyed the PM.Ideas team and the manner in which they conduct business; laid back, but very professional. I think they have a great team."
-Kevin Seyfriend, Hatch

5 Tips: How to Get to Know Your Project Sponsor

“Hear no evil; see no evil; speak no evil.” We have all seen statuettes of the three monkeys with their little paws covering ears, eyes and the mouth. Ensure that you know your sponsor by really getting to know the person; and don’t close your ears, eyes and mouth but use them in a skilful way.
